Founded in 2021, the Portage County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team is constructed of individuals who have specialized training in high-risk critical incidents.
Dedicated to safety, service, and security, the Portage County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit is crafted of specially trained dogs and handlers.
The Portage County Sheriff's Office Drug & Violent Crime Unit specializes in keeping the residents of Portage County safe from dangerous criminals and violent crime.
The P.A.C.E. Unit is committed to drug and crime interdiction throughout Portage County in an effort to keep our citizens, businesses, and communities safe.
The Traffic Safety & Enforcement Unit places heavy concentration on school zone speed enforcement in efforts to keep our children and motorists safe.
In our commitment to transparency and civilian education, our Citizens Police Academy opens our doors to interested residents to learn more about the functions of the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
