The Portage County Sheriff’s Office partners with multiple agencies to help combat the
exploitation of minors throughout the county. Our current partners are the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Portage County Jobs and Family Services Child Protective Services. The office investigates matters involving sexual abuse physical abuse, neglect of minors, online child exploitation of minors, child pornography, and sextortion to name a few.
Any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation should be reported to local law enforcement and Child Protective Services. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office can be reached at 330- 296-5100 and Child Protective Services can be reached 24/7 at 330-296-2273.
Currently, the ICAC Task Force is comprised of over 350 partner law enforcement agencies, including the offices of county sheriffs and county prosecutors, local police departments, the FBI, Homeland Security, and the US Attorney's Office.
